This limerick, The Clumsy Traveler, impresses a new word for me, perfretation, into my lexicon. It's a rough job using it for rhyming, but it comes out okay. Hope the broken hip is just poetic license.

It certainly is, Bill. Hope it remains that way, I imagine it would be an exceedingly unpleasant thing to go through. Cheers, Craig

It's sheer joy to watch new words at work and see them come to life and take on real meaning - as amply demonstrated here in these interesting poetic lines

Amazingly, you found 2 good words to rhyme with perfretation. Since I am about to take a perfretation in 3 weeks, I take this post as a warning to board carefully.

Where are you off to? I love cruising, it's such a fun way to pass time. 24 hours a day of nothing to do but have fun and let other people take care of you... Have a great voyage, do board carefully :) Cheers, Craig

I am headed to the Caribbean. Next spring we are doing a transatlantic cruise to Spain. It?s a repositioning cruise. You can get good deals on them so we try to do one a year.

Hi Craig, I bet it would have caused the crew some consternation. A real nuisance, I would have imagined. How ugly those big ships are anyway. A great new word. I'm learning all the time. A comma before 'which'. All the best. Ulla:))

Thanks, Ulla. They don't have the same appeal as, say, a barque, do they? Most grateful, Craig

I can image that airplane would be rather grumpy that it fell down.

A lovely tall tail/tale, Craig and take it easy on the cruises, cause falling down causes bruises.

Much enjoyed. :)

A very well-written Limerick about the clumsy traveler who breaks a hip while boarding the ship and gives the crew a hard time to cope with his demands for service during the trip.

Speaking of hips... Don't! Mine give me H-E-L-L when I sit too long. (LOL)
Your wit is only matched by your amazing talent, bard. Shakespeare, move over. *grin* All kidding aside, Craig, you're GREAT! I love your poetry! You MUST publish this book.

My goodness, that's quite a ship. It looks as if it would topple over, but it probably has lots of decks we can't see under the water. Prefretation--hmmm! That is quite a unique word used in this fun poem. Great job. Marilyn

And, he will probably sue. This scenario is the perfect one for your word, Craig. Your lines read well with good rhymes. Nothing is forced. Good job and thanks for sharing. Jan

This speaks about cause for celebration of a sea voyage and mentions but at the voyage the poet finds some fact which cause the crew some state of perplexity; well said, well done. Keep Writing -- DR ALCREATOR
