I was pleased to find a tanka of yours that I had missed. I admired your spiritual poem and its message of hope. The artwork you selected establishes the mood well. Smiles- Joan

The wisest thing that any human can possibly do is to seek always to please the one who controls your very life. He is the creator and the sustainer of life. So, who better to please than he?

Your inspirational, moving tanka makes excellent use of all its syllables
to convey its theme. The fact that we woke up today means God has a
purpose for us today. He has a plan for EACH person.

This is an inspiring entry. The structure is spot on with a correct line and syllable count. The content should cause folks to stop and think how lucky they are to be able to greet a new day. All the best in the judging and thank you very much for sharing it.

A very well-written Tanka, when the reasons and esxcuses are running out, there is only one solution, that is to rise and seek the Lord and creator of all to find our greater purpose.

This is a nicely composed tanka, Bill. I guess life itself is in a constant state of change and we have to trust that everything is unfolding as it should. Best of luck in the contest. Marilyn

And that should be our purpose - to love and worship the Lord. We get so busy - forget to stop and meditate on what all God has done for us - how almighty He is. Wow - and he loves us.

Amen. If only the truth you speak could be absorbed by those who need to hear it, the muddled few might just make it. It is so often the reality that is close to us is the hardest to grasp. You have artfully composed a very important poem.

Loved it, Bill. Sometimes, we can base living on reason alone. We need to keep pressing on via our faith and know that God is in control over all our passing seasons.
