Perfect match of poem and picture. It seems like they are flying away from a storm that is ending.
Good luck in the contest.

Thanks for the review. I saw the first batch yesterday and love to watch them make that vee while noisily making their way south. Goodbye geese....goodbye summer. Cheers.

You're welcome. At least summer's heat is hanging on here. A little Indian Summer.

Let's hope so. My entire cabin is stacked on the porch under a tarp while I sand my maple floor...no rain..no rain..no rain. And while I am praying, nice warm Indian summer. Cheers

I have seen this scene often in my hometown and you captured it in so few words here, goodbye summer and hello winter, I have been fortunate enough to fly with them, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

I am in Vermont all week sanding my maple floor, (arms like Popeye now ha ha) and saw the first batch fly over through the foliage. Barking cries and finding their space in line, keeps me amused for a few minutes. Yes, goodbye summer, snif.. cheers.
