You have probably followed the form given in the example for the Rondel for the contest, but for me the meter is spasmodic and the words don't flow. However I did love the sentiments here.
I think you need an apostrophe before (cross) in the third line.
Good luck,
Love Dolly x

This is a lovely rondel poem about fishing. Fishing is such a peaceful activity, although I'm not very good at it. This is well written and your rhyming pattern is correct. Great job and thank you for sharing.

You have worded a great poem! I love the beginning and ending the most and will remember those lines.. I love that you casted and then relished the breeze. The tone of your poem is relaxing!

I don't personally fish myself, but your poem seems to capture the essence of it and you have described it in an understandable and interesting way! The photo is lovely too!

Your poem is tranquil and well described. It brings back the memory of when my dad took me fishing. Just the two of us in the boat to spend hours on the lake. Nice job. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

Hello there, my friend, this is a fantastic Rondell entry. You brought the excitement of fishing alive, it was invigorating. I love fishing, never did fly fishing though. Good luck and have a wonderful new year.

Hello mystery writer. You've written a nice, style correct rondel poem regarding a subject I know nothing about. Many people have told me how euphoric fly-fishing is. Your narrative throughout depicts a paradise standing in the water flow. It almost makes me wish I had done it at least once. Very well written. Good luck in the contest.

Sometimes the format seems to slow down and make the poem look forced. Not so with yours. Looks like it fits the requirement and is a lovely poem with wonderful imagery. Bill
