and we are more than brothers in arms, we are brothers in hearts, liberty and principles has to be defended, I prefer to be death than to lost my liberty, every man has his mission, Soldiers are men of honors, mercy and principles.

Good Poem.

This is excellent. So solemn ans wise.
Your words of choice are comforting,
yet powerful enough to show the courage
of those soldiers. The writing is
excellent, Creative and heartfelt.
Thank you for sharing it.

Well written my friend. In honor of all those brave young men in all the wars... a great tribute Gary. Were you in the military? Cheers, Jack

Very well done, and I like the cartoon as well. If I knew your e-mail address, I would send you one that has that cartoon and other pro veteran material.

PS, I am a double dipper - US Navy and USAFRes.

I am waiting for the days when we don't have to fight these god-awful wars anymore. This was a well written poetic voice that was my pleasure to have read and written a review for... John

so right and so to the point, I loved the story short and to the point, the best I loved was the last sentence: Crossing heaven or earth to defend our families and country

We are brothers in arms
well said, thank you so much for sharing.

Hello deepwater,
you used the famous quote very well--

"Old soldiers never die; they just fade away. And like the old soldier in that ballad, I now close my military career and just fade away, an old soldier who tried to do his duty as God gave him the sight to see that duty."
Said by-
Douglas MacArthur

Certainly appropriate at any time
of the year, but brought home more
emotionally the time of Memorial Day
and D Day, June 6, when old soldiers
stormed the cliffs that ran red with
their blood.
A beautifully scripted poem of that
breed of man, the old soldier who
never dies.
Well done

The idea that war is inevitable, at least this far in human history, never deters us from hoping that someday it will cease. But until then, it is good to reflect on our service, the part we played and the legacy we leave.
