This is such a haunting poem of parting and goodbye. It is obviously a painful feeling of separation and the picture of this black rose amplified the message you intend for the readers. Well done.

This is a nicely done poem. Rich in metaphor and visual imagery. It was well worded, rhymed and displayed. This is a very moving poem.
Great job Deepwater!

This is an interesting piece about the breakup of a relationship and accepting that it's over.
The last lines give an interesting twist - it seems neither treated love seriously, but as a game.

interesting poem with an equally interesting interpretation I really like it. these sort of poems always grow on me after several reads. the meaning might not necessarily jump out at me on first read but consecutive reads always has me identifying the meaning.

Although we love, we have an idea if it works out or not. As we move on, it either gets better or stays the same. And then longer, we know. Then we move on, or take that next step to forever. In this short poem, you spelled it all out for us. I enjoyed, and thanks for posting. . .Sharon

Ah,poetry. The message here is not clear to me, because it could go a lot of ways...but that's poetry...it is not a DVM reading spelled right and of lucid wording..excellent.

Deepwater;
I enjoyed your poem very much it was easy to understand and read and well written and quite descriptive and brilliantly expressive throughout.
I believe the message you are coming across dues one that was very poor ignorant and powerful in a a lost and saddened romantic type of way.
What I found sad about it is that your loved in your romance was a ruse and basically it was for just friends and fame. And now it has faded away as to the dust in the wind.
Thank you so much for sharing and posting this for everyone and may all your endeavors be good ones.

Such a great write. The careful placement of each word, each comma. Lovely. Lovely. So very well done. I appreciated the ending most of all. Isn't that always true with endings?

Your choice of picture to go with your poem is well placed. Isn't it interesting that when relationships are disintegrating we are often aware of it but don't really want to acknowledge it until there is nothing left. Your poem is well worded.
