Ah the what-ifs of life. One should be, What if we had no memories. I remember at five years old (yes I learned to read at 4 1/2)reading about the pleasure of memories and wnanting to get older so I would have some.

I love this 'just for fun' poem Gary, I always remember that first awkward kiss on a date, this poem has a wonderful breezy couldn't care less flow to it, I greatly admire anyone who can write this sort of poem 'for fun'. what a brilliant poet you are!

I love your poem, I could capture the moments of the past when we were so young, although I am still with my first love it does change over the years, and it is nice to remember the emotions of youth.
Well written

This does well in bringing back memories of carefree summer days and the first stirrings of the feeling of love. How different things were at the time when we had no idea of what was to come in our lives.

Beautiful reminiscing that ends in a question which I also have in my life of people I've seen in years, and will never. There seems to be a bit of sorrow here. Nice flow throughout. Very nicely written. Les

This is a beautiful poem and the picture you picked makes it stand out.
The rhyming moves the poem forward. The rhythm helps to complete the poem.
The emotions felt are love, sadness and contempt.
This poem tells a great story we all go through.
Keep writing.

When a relationship breaks apart, release it and start anew. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.
