Remember the story when Jesus said, "if you have aught against your brother (sister) then go and see them, make up with them and come back to me and your God." This is paraphrased.
This is well written.
I am so sorry that this happened between you and your friend.
Thank You My Friend,

Ironic, but lovely :)
They say time heals all wounds, but it isn't true. Time buries wounds, until a word spoken, a whiff of memory, tears open the wound, and the pain surfaces as though time itself dissolved into yesterday. One never really forgets.
Well done!

Wow, not only is it well written, but what a moving story.
I can really relate to what you are going through. Many years ago, my mother had a falling out with her sister and they vowed never to speak again. This was after something like 65 years together. One day my mom passed away rather suddenly. I still remember the pain and torment of my Aunt, that her relationship with my mom would end that way. I also felt a bit sad at all the lost moments they could have had together.

Thank you so much. I do appreciate your comments. It is so hard when people forget how short and fragile life can be. I deeply appreciate the rating.

Hi Janilou,
I relate with your story. The best rule between best friends should be not to take what the other left behind, at least out of principle.
Death thretening situations always open our eyes to out selfishness. I sincerely am sorry for your pain. Life is not fair, is it? When you thought you were happy with being upset on a person, everything turns around with such a situation.
Thank you for sharing. It must have been hard for you to write this.

Your strength and courage are to be commended.
Only through the love of Jesus could I do that.
Not on my own. I will pray for your friend and I will pray for you as you both struggle with different emotions and regrets for choices made.

Oh my goodness. This story kicks you in the gut. I can feel your pain and the pain of your friend. You know they say forgiveness is not really for the other person but for yourself. I hope she gets well and your heart will let you get well. I haven't blogged in a few weeks, but hope to get back to it. ann

Hullo Janilou ...
This is a beautiful but sad account of something that clearly comes straight from your heart. It is well written and you have expressed your thoughts clearly.
There is just one small change to suggest ...
* You have - It didn't matter we'd already split up before you stepped in. I suggest - It didn't matter that we'd already split up ...
It would be wonderful if your friend responded to treatment and recovered so that you could both make up for the lost years of friendship.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
With love from .... Nanette Mary.

This is such a srong piece of writing, and so personal. I think it's only human nature to fight back, to hurt those who have hurt you. I hope you can rekindle your friendship. A beautifully written piece of writing.

Wow! Tour story really puts life into the right perspective. Your paragraph about time heals all wounds is one the best things I've ever read. This is an amazing moment of awakening, and I only hope everyone gets the chance to read this.

A very touching, emotional read. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into your personal life. A very touchy situation that you never know what the right choice is. Hopefully it can be made aright before it's too late. Great job.
