This is very well done. I just kind of wondered about something. The only thing that caught my eye was the we and the I. And then the final line - can you surmise? I find it a bit off when at first it's WE and then I and back to US and then YOU. Do you see what I mean? Maybe this is all good. But I am thinking not. The poem itself is beautiful.

Reflection on a Relationship, is a closer match with the content, not that 'on Life' is is totally unmatched.

The many aspects of the minds of lovers who approach, but to not capture, companionship are the thread I see from start to finish here with a hint of hope for a finale.

This is a great rhyming poem with a lot of what happened, and why love ends. Instead, what about greener Promised Land? Is there a possibility of survival, no! With distrust, mind games, and when trust is gone, is there any good left? Can I surmise? Of course, and that's to lock the door and never look back. Head down another path and keep on going.
