As soon as I clicked on your entry and scrolled quickly down the page to view all the images, my heart pounded a little quicker from anticipation of reading, as if I were a kid in a candy store. The wording did not disappoint as I knew it wouldn't. This entry would have been great even without the images, as the wording can stand on it's own 2 feet. The story is told with such interest and intensity to the reader. The descriptions are divine. I especially like the line "with jubilation, ecstatic gyrations, surely meant to gloat". Thank you for sharing this with me. You shouldn't have any problem in this contest.

Thanks so much, NurseBarb, but I don't have much luck on poems voted upon by that faceless entity here known only as (drum roll please...) The FanStory Voting Committee. Still, I was going to post it anyway, so I figured, why not take yet another shot at them, and post it in their contest. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?
I truly appreciate your very complimentary review and exceptional rating, my dear friend. I am so glad to know that you enjoyed my poem.
Be well!~Dean

I thought it was just me. I NEVER get anything from FS committee as well. I would be happy if they threw me a bone one time for a third place. But no!!! I'm like... why don't they like me. lol. I guess I'm not the only one. You're welcome, by the way.

A truly great write..again Dean. I like the historical background, but even without it your message is clearly evident to the reader. There are always
consequences to actions regardless of ones belief. A truly enjoyable read.

This is a beautifully terrifying work. Man playing God is a theme that works every time. For some reason your poem makes me think of the Tower of Babel. I have always loved Frankenstein as it deals with the concept of man as the creator of life. The horrendous results could only be expected as man can create nothing but only alter mass that exists. Man cannot give or restore life. Ah but if he could. That is the glory of Frankenstein and Dracula. I loved your artwork as it beautifully highlights your theme.

Thanks so much for your complimentary review and exceptional rating, Bryan. I'm very happy that you enjoyed the artwork as well, many do not and refuse to read my posts because of it. However, I like to be different, an innovator, if you will, and I hope eventually, even those people too will come around and learn to appreciate it one day.
Thanks so much again, my friend. I hope you have a wonderful week!

This is a masterpiece and a sure winner. Even though your poem are usually long they are always attention grabbing so that never matters.
Excellent rhyming couplets with internal rhymes
Stunning presentation and a joy to read

Thanks so much, emrpoems. I truly appreciate your kind comments and exceptional rating. Many times, the artwork I insert into the posts make them seem much longer than they truly are. But, this one was 564 words, so that's pretty hefty for a poem. That's why I wanted to ensure i promoted it highly enough, to adequately reward reward potential readers and reviews for taking the time to read it. I am very happy that you decided to.
Thanks so much again for always being so supportive of what I try and do here. It is appreciated!~Dean

I'll bet I know who wrote this, very inventive, I have read Frankenstein, some years ago now, I don't think they knew how iconic the book would become, great write, I still wonder how you do the animation on these things, articulate, beautifully expressed! I love the creation angle! Sin would still remain! Blessings, Roy, it is you Dean!

This is a horror poem that leaves a firm message, that the creature inherited the evil of man's sin. Of all the humanity and compassion that man is known to have, it all eventually distills into one thing SIN. A terrifying look at the monster who in Shelley's deepest imagination was in fact the monster in man like the monster in Jekyll and Hyde. Well done, Dean.

Wonderful retelling of a story, in poem format! I love that it rhymes. (I like poems that rhyme.) It's really a ballad, isn't it? The story of Frankenstein is also very similar to the story of Golem of Prague. The sad thing is that Frankenstein's monster in Mary Shelley's book actually shows more humanity than Dr. Frankenstein himself. Sadness, joy at being loved, and sympathy for a little boy.

Well this should be no surprise, your top skills shine yet again!
Your presentation is always spot on and mood creating.
This poetic rendition of a Frankenstein feel took me on an imaginative journey I'll soon not forget!

A fitting end to this poetic story of Dr Frankenstein and his creation. No one should think himself godly enough to create life where it shouldn't be. The good doctor died from a sin he committed and the monster told him so.
I like the inter rhymes used with the end rhyme. You also uses s little bit of alliteration.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing.

Thanks so much, Dip, I am so glad to win your seal of approval for this one. I worked steadily on it, day and night (lo-o-o-o-o-o-n-g nights!) to try and get it just right. I'm so glad that you felt all of my efforts was well worth the time it took.
As always, I appreciate your outstanding review and support by virtue of the six star rating, my friend. Here's hoping you have a wonderful week ahead of you!~Deano
