Horrible, war, devastating, cruel, unnatural, placing pitting innocents against each other in propaganda ways. I liked the repetition as seen by both sides, similar really; tragic both.

deepwater: I enjoy your WWI poems. I like the repeat of one soldier saying the same as his enemy across the field. They were all young and would have been friends if their countries weren't fighting. Sad stories as about all the wars. But, great writing. livelylinda

I can see the outflow of deep emotion from the heart in this work. An emotion depicting a betrayal of love and trust. Yes, it'd happens and it will continue to happen inasmuch as man's heart construction is not written on his face. Nicely rendered. Exquisitely composed. Love LJ

THIS POEM CAPTURES THE FEELINGS AND THOUGHTS OF SOLDIERS WHO GO TO BATTLE IN HONOR OF THEIR COUNTRY AND KILL MEN ON THE OTHER SIDE WITH WHOM THEY HAVE NO PERSONAL GROUSE. I PRAY SOME DAY MAN WILL FIND A BETTER WAY OF RESOLVING ISSUES THAT WILL NOT INVOLVE THE LOSS OF HUMAN LIVES.GREAT JOB!
