Loved this one, Dean. It is such a positive poem and it goes to show that sometimes, simple actions bring about profound consequences.
The little boy you were asked God for answers, and in every way, God answered. That is the power of faith.
Loved this in every way.
Well, in almost every way - one little nit:

how can my scarf she knit (Not good English syntax -
It feels forced - the only line that strikes me this way.)

Thanks so much, Rose. I really am tickled to have just one nit bothering you, LOL.

In all seriousness, I do sincerely appreciate your exceptional rating and heartfelt review. My pastor, Richey Pride, does not cotton too much to most of my other works. my FanStory account he linked to his Facebook account, and everything I post, he sees and reads. So, he gave me yet another challenge again this morning to come up with a spiritual poem with a positive message. So, I just used an experience I'd had as a child to formulate the idea, and wrote it.

I hope I did him proud. :)

Bothered is such a negative term. Distracted, perhaps. Never bothered.
I'm so glad that your pastor both inspires and challenges you. This is what makes a writer great - to live up to and reflect the views of those they respect and/or love.
