What a lovely tribute to someone who sounds like a grand lady. The poem has a pleasant sound enhanced by the internal rhyme in every other line. The tribute in the first and last line emphasizes the affection and admiration that is evident throughout the poem. Very nice!

My heart goes out to anyone who endured the war, or even that time period. It was not an easy time to live. Your poem, tribute your Gram is beautifully written.

Your grandmother, while she lived, was a piece of walking history. I recently lost a friend who was in most of the sea battles in the south pacific. Your poem is well written. Maybe you should think about writing a novel of your Grandmothers like.
