Very dismal and sad subject matter, really kind of trite in this day and time, not very original. However,it does have a good rhyming scheme and flow.

Why thank you. When rape becomes trite, let me know okay?
-
I didn't mean that rape was trite but it has been written about so many times in so many ways, that the subject of it is rather trite. Rape is anything but trite.

Hello there. Thank you for a lovely poem. I say it is lovely even though it deals with a horrable subject matter because it is the compersision of the poem that is lovely. Thank you for such a good poem.

this is a beautiful poem and so sad about the rape that takes place all over the world, i think this has an excellent chance of winning the poem of the month. good imagery presented in your words--well, not good but you know what i mean. congratulations for your nomination

-
they just pick some of the well received poems of the month and then the fanstorians vote on them. i've never had one put in the contest of the month. i'm green with envy--just kidding.
-

Well writtwn. The picture expresses 1000 words. Very visual, The verbiage used hooks the reader from beginning to end.
The words burst on the page with emotion and you make the reader feel like they are there.
You did and excelent job.
The title definitely grabbed my attention.

What a poem! That would have been the perfect alley, without the people. I grew up in the city and there were times when you'd have to go through something like that but thank goodness, never that long, for me. It was scary though. What we'd do is run through as fast as we could. I was lucky. Wouldn't do it today. I don't go anywhere alone. When you're young....Didn't mean to rant. You brought back some memories. Good work. Nice flow too.

This is going to sound disturbing but I actually wanted more detail of the victim. Especially during the rape because if it was more personable then it could be have that much more impact

No, actually what is disturbing is the way you grade poetry on what is not there that you think should be. LOL. Thanks poet for your time spent with this review.

Gungalo, very powerful piece. It is a vivid read of a crime that dates back to the ancient times to today all over the world, as you shared. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! my friend. Well deserved selection for one of the best of the month. I like the easy rhyming of the words, so in opposite to the harsh theme of the work.

Don't think there's a lot of words happening during a rape, nevermind any of consequence. Thank you for a great review!!!
