This one is delicious.
I love:
Poets of gravity,
White grace,
Skiers.
"Poet of gravity"... what a wondrous phrase.

Thank you words for loving my work in these fabulous flying men. They deserve all the credit for inspiring me to write about them!

Olympians train their whole lives. Olympic medals carry success for many years to holders thereof. Yet, I'm thinking their desire to compete is what drives them year after year and not the Olympic dream. Just my thoughts. Great contest entry!

This rictometer is so appropriate at this time, whilst the winter Olympics are still on. I too, marvel at their bravery, their ability to do what they do, with seeming ease.
Good luck in the contest, and warmest regards

A very nicely penned rictameter on those daredevils with wood on their feet! I have always wanted to do that, but am scared to death I would hurt myself!

Ha, ha. Me too!

"Skiers" is very appealing visually. Your choice of image fits perfectly and the poem lay out is very nice.
Technically, your poem has the correct syllables and adheres to the contest rules.
I think your word choice is concise, clear, and fitting. The choice of Olympic sports is very relevant to current events. I love the imagry in the lines
Poets of gravity,
White grace,
Good luck in the contest. You have a strong entry.

Thank you so much for commenting in those lines. They were notes taken while watching them. That's why i carry a notebook everywhere!

Oh, they are something to watch. And brave I might add. I've tried the beginning of that, and landing on your head is not so fun. Great job.

You've penned a delightful poem about one
of the many amazing sports we're enjoying
this past week and a half in Vancouver. The skill,
nerve and tenacity of the athletes is simply amazing.
Your poem perfectly captures the skier. Good luck
with the contest. -ray

Oh I am so glad you won the contest, you so did deserve it.
its nice they let us come back and vote you some more stars

Me too, this is a great tribute. I like it.
I am but a new student of the world of poetry, and do not yet understand the mechanics of it. only the emotion.
one adviser tells me that's all that is needed.
But I dont like it when the author explains the design of their style in the notes it helps me to try and learn.
I know I am silly girl, and we are suppose to know this stuff, but I missed that meeting, so I have to learn it anew, and at 48 the brain is slower to catch on.

Thank you Sherry S for your great review. You are right, thinking about it, I don't need those author notes.

author, love your rictamenter. I'm enjoying the games, too. Such courage, drive, and determination. AND dangerous. It's unbelievable what extremes the human body can reach.
Well done, pat

Thank you Pat for reviewing my work and for being another fanatic of these Olympic Games. My father used to love sports. He is no longer here, I do it for him also.
