Excellent. I can definitely relate. My favorite line is:And to be able to say, I am my best friend. How very true. So many people try to run away from themselves. Peace comes from within.

What a great feeling to have while approaching the later years in life. Everyone speaks of "finding themselves", and maybe they go about it the wrong way. The piece you've written speaks of what's really valuable in life, and I totally agree with what you've said. This is a very well written poem.
