This is a great poem which tell us about The First World War. At the end in a war any one wins. And ever, ever is pain. It's very well written!

This is a strong poem. You write fluently and your confidence comes through. You did a great job, through the workings of your brilliant imagination, of entering into the feelings and situation of a World War 1 soldier writing home. I would imagine you probably hit the nail on the head.

Stark images of war, any war. This is a poem that haunts and without asking, demands to know if the horror of war is worth it. Excellent job, I liked it very much.

The tragedies of war, and those who died or injured in war.
Wars are still going on today.
When will we wake up to no war on our earth?
The art work here is very telling. Many tears shed within this church, for someone loved and died for all of us.

So many died fighting and killing another human being.
Many lived with injury and pain until they eventually died.
Prisoners of war were persecuted, many died others lived and would have nightmares for a long time.
