Judging from past experience, I don't think you're quite ready to put the "poison pen" down just yet.
I can't imagine, with so many terrific poems, that you're not floating in member dollars. But your real target here, I believe, plays the trumpet for his own entrance. He hides it in his golf bag.
So many times, I think I have penned a contender in a particular contest that reaps one vote. Rarely, does one of my entries bubble to the top. And I've only won 1 site contest in 10 1/2 years! It's frustrating. It's depressing. If you don't see me involved in Fanstory for a few months, it's because I can't take losing any longer. I drop out of the picture for a while, and then finally come back. The same thing might happen to Donald in 2024. He might get the urge to come back, and start all over again. Spose? ...there's distant echo from Washington~ hear it?

"It was rigged! I was robbed!
That wrong result was a fraudster's job!
I don't have proof, but never mind;
you others can go suck lemon rind,
and if you fail to see it my way
somehow or other I'll make you pay."
"Come on Fans, you know what to do -
bring your big guns and stand proud;
repeat my lies, shout them loud.
We all will go very red in the face;
this whole affair's a national disgrace."

It is nearly 5AM here and I read this post and it lite up my day. I don't have to wait until sunrise! It is so clever and fun. Hidden (but not really) is political satire disguised as a rant against losing a contest.
If only some of the electorate and the Congress could see how silly it sounds!

I don't think I've actually finished last, but after not even finishing in a place on site contests in seven years, to ease the preoccupation with winning, I had to stop entering, otherwise I'd be convinced I was hated, ever since I was a child, I've competed to improve my self image, which is stupid, but childhood is a strong impression. Oblivion can't come soon enough. I'll kinda miss him when he's gone (not) - he's such an easy target to write about - so much to choose from.
