Oh-oh. I guess they just knocked Cynthia out? Or did they kill her with the inhalant? I wonder if there's redemption possible for Jon or for Cynthia? Seems like Mason has shown Cynthia his true colors.

Well it looks like Cynthia is paying for her nosiness and desire to be rich. Mason probably thinks he can get rid of all of them and get away scot- free, but I'm sure he won't. Great chapter, Carol. Hugs

Chilling! Brilliant comeuppance. Hard to feel sorry for Jon and Cynthia.
[SUGG OMIT Mentally,] Pete chided himself for his lack of compassion; after all, [he=>SUGG for clarity THIS MAN (or JON)] was a priest.
Inside, he shuffled down the aisle, stopping now and then to stare at the beautiful stained-glass windows [or a=>sugg: and the] statue of Jesus
Cynthia's mouth fell open as she gaped in astonishment at Mason. sugg: Cynthia gaped in astonishment.

He's going to set fire to the church and kill Jon and Cynthia, if she isn't already dead. What a stupid woman! She walked right into that. I can't say I feel sorry for her, she is responsible for too many wrongs, all because she was greedy. Well, this was a firey chapter. I do feel sorry for Jon, she was just very weak, has been all his life. What a shame, his life could have been very different. Well done, my dear friend, this was another amazing chapter!! Love and hugs. Sandra xxx

Carol,
Everyone finally outlives their usefulness. Even Cynthia. Oh, my. I imagine she never thought that day would come. IIIIIII never thought that day would come. But she can't die! We still have to write that prequel! Oh, my.... oh, my... Oh, my!!!!
And, of course - I'm out of chapters!!!!!

Not good. Sounds like Cynthia has met her match. I wonder if Garth and Hank will save here. It sounds as if Jon committed suicide. I like this story.
Pete felt strange about leaving him, but he wasn't his babysitter, just the driver. (Who's POV are you in. Later on it seems you're in Jon's.)

A good chapter. I am not surprised by Cynthia's blindness. She isn't the first person to see and hear only what they want until it's too late. It seems Mason is planning to take care of two useless birds with one stone. I hope Jon isn't too drunk.
Good work.
