They are almost there, but not quite. They will have to get to Sofia quickly, or else she'll be gone as per instructions from her son, Miguel. So
the next few hours are crucial in many ways.

Yes, they better hurry or she will be gone with all the information and the money for Mason. She has no idea what she is getting herself into that's for sure.

I have no sympathy for father Jon, but I hope his information we get them there in time to save Annie. But, I'm guessing that my softhearted writer friend would never let anything happen to her. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

I couldn't do that...though Tito would most definitely like to get rid of Annie somehow. And Miguel is shot so who knows what will happen. I guess we wait and see where my fingers and mind take us. LOL

I'm glad that with each chapter things are getting a little bit better, a little bit closer to finding Annie, at least. Then there is Mason and the people he has working for him. Good writing, Carol.

I was hoping Jon wouldn't die, but maybe you know best. I guess he's got too much dirt on his hands. You know where you need to take this story and I know you end it right. I'm looking forward to more.

I couldn't decide either, but then I decided he would be in prison, and the women (Faith, Liz, Mary, and Cassidy needed a fresh start). It was difficult to decide, but then my research said it was difficult to survive a gunshot wound to the abdomen....I have a few who are real sticklers for reality ... so he was finished. LOL
Thanks for the review. Smiles, Carol

Well, another great chapter, full of pain and family emotions. So many questions. Why is Miguel still holding the girl? He knows Mason has betrayed him. The slim hope of bargaining with her. Will Sofia linger a while to be taken into custody? Will she talk? If so, to save her son, rather than than Annie.
Great work.

Wow! I am thrilled how well this chapter has gone over with everyone so far...especially since I respect your writing so much. I don't think Miguel expected Mason to betray him and now he's trying to find ways to make a little leverage so he isn't blamed for everything. Guess we hope that the Sheriff and Tango get to Sofia before she leaves. Thanks so much for the awesome review and stars.

I read both chapters, one after the other, I'll go back and review part 51 after this. I couldn't wait to read on!! This was mind-blowing, I was holding my breath willing him to talk. Did he give enough? Will Miguels mother still be there? Or has she done as Miguel told her. OOOOOH I can't wait to find out!! Well done, Carol. Another fabulous chapter. :)) Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

Oh I am so excited...I couldn't wait for your review...and you made me giggle when you didn't have time to review chapter 51 because you wanted to read what's next. Hurrah! I hoped the emotions played true as Jon was dying. I figured he wouldn't be able to talk much so I used the flickering of the eyes, praying it would seem realistic. I am happy!

What an emotional chapter! Great writing! I'm glad Jon's last words were to Mary, asking her forgiveness. I'm surprised Mary was able to forgive him. It's good Annie is still fighting her captors. Blessings. Carol

Thank you, Carol. I wanted to make sure that Jon had a chance to repent and ask forgiveness and that Mary (being the person she is) could at least say she forgave him.... even if she will harbor the pain. I thank you for the splendid review and the stars!
Amazing!!! Smiles, Carol

You're welcome. I imagine Mary would harbor the pain for the rest of her life, wondering what might have been. Great chapter!

You did a great job with the emotion and the action here.
"Tito, there's rope in the closet. You can tie her up and lock her in the bedroom." Miguel took out (There's a formatting issue here and the rest of this sentence goes into the information about you under your picture. I'm sure there's anything you can do."

Thanks so much Barbara. And thanks for pointing out the problem with the formatting. All I could do is split up the sentences and then it was readable.
