Thanks for this heartwarming story. I am glad you and your family got a little more time with her. We had a cat Mindy that really seemed ill a beautiful white cat with incredible green eyes my daughter just adored her, she disappeared for a weeks, we thought she was dead. Suddenly she came back and lived for a few more years we buried her in the garden, All the best Laura.

I'm so sorry for your loss, twice. How unusual. I've heard of this happening but have never experienced it myself. Like you, I bring mine home to bury in a special place in the garden.

Thank you so much. What a lovely review. Much appreciated. Later when our very large dog died, I couldn't dig a deep or long enough hole, so I had made an above ground garden tub for her (nearly two metres long and a metre deep, which now has beautiful plants and ferns. It's outside my bedroom window, and looks great.

Great idea. It was always hard to bury our Great Danes. Once, we had policemen come to our door, asking about the mound outside our fence. It was on the strip we left outside the fence for utility workers, etc., and one of workers had to dig, and came across a rib cage. I told him if he kept digging, he'd find a Great Dane skull. lolololol

WOW!! I've never heard of such a thing. Thank you for sharing t his contest entry with us. One of our cats' we buried in her favorite spot in our backyard. Our 80 pound Labrador was cremated. My husband was Army and we couldn't really bury her on a military instillation. We still have her ashes. Haven't figured out where to put them. I enjoyed reading and good luck.

What a heart-warming story. I have had to say good-bye to too many, both by natural death and euthanasia. The relationships we have with our pets are beyond explanation, but I know they are gifts from God, perhaps as reflections of His unconditional love.

I have awarded six stars because I found this a lovely and very moving story. having had two of our cats put to sleep through necessity I was moved to hear that your cat came back to say goodbye to you all. A lovely story and thankyou so much for sharing. Both of our cats are buried in our garden together although they died years apart. They will always be remembered. Thanks so much for sharing. Kooky.

Oh my goodness, is this sad or is it happy, I'm not sure but the end still came for your Tammy. It is hard to know what decision to make when our pets are ill, glad you waited 24 hours at least. A sad write Wendy. Love Dolly x

Thank you Dolly for your super review. It was an amazing experience During that half hour we were both super happy and excited because she had come back to life, and yet still sad, very conflicting emotions. But the special way it happened did ease her grief, and she died happily with us.

Poor Sunny!!! I remember all the stories he told that dog was very special through and through he was the best!!!
I am saddened by his loss, Wendy!
This true story flash was very short and I would like to more about his death.
I am so so sorry, my friend!!!
At least you refused to put him down at the Vet that was the way of my older cat, Emma.
Thank goodness my Sunny is still alive she will be turning 14 years on November of this year!
I hope for both of us and my Sunny that they die at home! Just like your Sunny did!!
Have a simple day and do not grieve too much I hope that you wish the best for me and Sunny as well!
Take care, my sadened friend,
Jesse

No. It's okay. Sunny is alive and well. This was a cat we had many years ago, and she lived to a very old age. But this was her choice to die at home. And the strange thing is that we were so excited to have her come back to life that when she died half an hour later she knew we were happy and she could feel the love and happiness with her as she lay down for the last time. It was quite amazing. And it eased our sorrow that she had the final say.
I am thankful that precious Sunny is still here. He will be seven at the end of November.
But thank you heaps for the six stars and the very thoughtful and caring review!

Wow, I'm glad you refused cremation, too! I don't really believe that things like that happen by coincidence. She needed time to properly say her goodbyes and Divine Providence provided it. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you Mary for your lovely review, much appreciated - and you are right. She chose her time and place, and as it turned out we were all so thrilled that she was still alive that it was actually a happy time filled with love, and I am sure she knew that.

You told your poignant story well, Wendy. I'm saddened by the loss of your sweet kitty, Tammy. I', glad, though, that she was with family at the end. Do you know Rainbow Bridge? Google it.
Respectfully, Jan
