Hello, Barb!
Fast-paced and engaging.
I enjoyed the plot, and that Luke fella and his boorish/thug ways were described and handled well.
Realistic and believable dialogue.
Looking forward to the next chapter!
Thank you for sharing!

Well written. Good work.
Very credible dialogue.
I don't know about the gun scene, though.
Once a gun is pulled , I'm shootin'. Better now than later when I ain't ready.
Best wishes.

Interesting details about the filly. She will be a tough on to break. Maybe she'll receive so much attention she'll get used to being handled. Luke was out of line. He should have known better than to be so pushy. I lived in Texas for several years but didn't know of people carrying guns. Maybe it depends on where they are. I thought the horse auction was quite interesting. If Alexandria is a lawyer, she'll need to get back to work soon. She'll be missing the income. The Ortiz family is so nice. judi

Thank you for the kind review. When I go to HEB, I see many holstered guns. LOL In West Texas it's worse.

This is well-written and quite interesting. Your conversations are very like people speak and actions match the characters. The only question I have is in the line--Luke warned . . . back, he silenced. (What?) Looking forward to the next chapter.

Thank you for the kind review. He quit talking. Since it confused you, I'll look at it again.

Your story is progressing well, I like how you have introduced this new character, Luke, and have a feeling we will hear more about him in the coming weeks. I like stories about horses.

A well written chapter. Everything was made in your style. The action was... well, Luke's action was right on par with what he was written for and placed in the scene to do.
Good work.

Interesting chapter. Luke just wouldn't give up. Is it true that a lot of people carry guns in Texas? I would think with a lot of hot heads around that would be a dangerous thing to do. I'm enjoyed the new story and I always look forward to the Football story.

Thank you for the kind review. When I go to the grocery store, I see many holstered guns. It seems only in the cities, where having guns is less popular because they are Blue/liberal, there's more crimes committed with gun. Having guns causing murders or shooting is a huge lie. Look at Chicago, the one of the strictest gun controlled city in the US and the highest murder, shotting rates.

They are too easy to get for the criminals. I'm not against guns. I grew up with them and have one by my bed, but I would be horrified if people were walking the streets carrying guns. Peoples' tempers flair to easily, and if they have a gun handy it seems dangerous to me.

It's not the people who obey the gun laws that's the problem. If they restricted guns the bad guys would still get them. They confiscate truck loads of illegal guns coming into the states from Mexica almost daily.

Ah the first sign of real emotion. And Cordero finds himself staring into the barrel of a gun, from a man who is harassing Alexandra, he endeavours to defend her honour, but the man, who is called Luke, harasses her for a second time, fortunately a friend comes up behind the bully and the fight is over. With that Alexandra decides it might be better in New York, beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy

I just know that Luke is about to be taught a painful lesson. He has apparently bitten off much more than he will be able to chew. I am also willing to wager that the missing bulls are his handiwork.

This is a good chapter, Barbara. I wonder who that little filly is for. :) Alexandra seems a little skittish for a New Yorker, but I guess it's a different type of environment.

You will discover later that she was completely protected by her powerful father. Rosa, Jorge, and Cord know this because they know the family. Rosa knows Ali, but the other two do not. Thank you for the kind review.
