I love how Ali and Cordero are getting closer all the time, when they do kiss, that will surprise both of them. Lol. I liked the way Ali tried to comfort him after the little tiff he had with his father, but at the same time, I completely understand the feeling of being told you are basically too unfit and old to do the job any more, that must hurt. Well done, Barb, as I told you, when you hadn't posted on Sunday, I honestly thought you wern't going to this week. Other wise I'd have saved a six. :(( Warm hugs, my friend, Sandra xx

I was kind of under the impression that some of the things Alexandra and Cord were doing could be considered dating. I guess she isn't ready to call it that, but it is obvious that really care about each other. I'm enjoying the way the story is going.

This is a most interesting chapter/section. The two (Cord and Alexandra) are obviously growing closer and love seems to be very close, but obstacles still remain. You do such an amazing job of showing the feelings of each by the little gestures and kind words they say. Also, the character of each one is made clear by their actions and words. The conversation between Ali and Cord was quite touching and revealing. I suppose this chapter can have one more cliff-hanger "almost kiss" ending, but I would seriously consider making sure it doesn't end up being a stock plot device. Face it, there can't be that many romance interrupters before the reader starts shaking his or her head.

Great characterization. The problem between Cord and his father is handled so well. Jorge doesn't want to admit that he's n longer able to the work he used to do. It's understandable that Cord is worried a bout his father's health and thinks he'd be better off staying behind. They'll be able to work it out. Coard also gives a very convincing account of his experience with Joyce. Doesn't sound like she'd fit in with the ranch life. Ali, on the other hand, is beginning to love it. judi

I LOVE the picture. Thanks for explaining the Spanish sentence. The only thing I got was the word casa, a house. The large font and paragraph spacing make it easier to read. Beginning of what might be a lovely romance and I like romance stories.
