A beautifully written and presented modern haiku, to get some solitude is necessary as long as it does induce loneliness, your haikus are a pleasure to read****kahpot

Hello Gypsy,
A hardy blade of grass to stand erect in the snow.
I like the feel this haiku projects and doesn't require a photograph
to conveys the message.
Excellent wording and imagery, solid connection and perfect satori line.
Nicely done.
Best wishes.

I love the image in this modern haiku. A stunning ending with the shift to solitude as the human emotion evoked by the blade of grass in the snowy landscape. Well done.

I like the uniqueness to your poem. Also, your creative use of words. I see this single blade of grass at times. What a great idea to put it in a poem; very clever. And your take on it is very clever as well. Nice info in the author's note. Thank you for sharing this lovely piece.

Very nice and great presentation that perfectly matches the poem's theme. To one and only or the first is a perfect picture of solitude and perhaps loneliness. The scene also shows that life can happen in the coldest and barren of places. Nicely done.

This make me think...Did this blade of grass need solitude so much that he pushed through earlier than his buddies or did he refuse to let the snow overtake him? Your tiny poem fits the modern haiku perfectly, plus the presentation and words are impactful. Nice!

I enjoyed this verse very much.
To me it speaks to overcoming adversity.
The winter white world is bitter, with unrelenting cold.
Yet a blade of grass has the self determination to preserve and flourish, pushing aside the whiteness, stretching toward the sun.
Thanks for sharing.
