Once again, an excellent read. I was surprised but thankful, you still posted and I can see the good news enabled you to do that. So much great detail and very real in situations we all know. Just one change suggested. (With just)[O](one)look

What a sweet scene between these two - sad circumstances, but Cord shows strength, love, and restraint throughout the scene. It was very real feeling.

I enjoyed this chapter, and now I see why readers here talk about how well you write romance. I'm hooked!

Thanks for the update on your father-in-law. Miracles do happen.

Take care,
Pam

Cordero and Alexandra arrived at home; now their relation is better; chance of broken heart gets a stand of mending; a serious discussion is on their point of interaction; well said, well done, post god speed more, share post not 4 self-joy-pride but 4 God and readers worldwide Alcreator Litt Dear (DR)

Another great chapter, Barbara. I like how Cordero was like a medical doctor on Ali first, and then he played the part of a psychologist/counselor to help Ali understand herself next. It seems their relationship is already pretty well grounded!

Their relationship is grounded, but there's a rocky issue coming. Thank you for the kind review.

I think I've said it before. Cord, to me, is the best male character you've created in your novels. He is strong and he's moral without being goody-goody. Ali is sweet and vulnerable in some ways, tough as nails in other ways. I'll point out the only possible nit I found, but I downloaded this at 8:30 AM and and am just now getting to read it at 8:39 PM, so you've probably made the small adjustment and will be wondering why it still shows.

"Sure, Boss. Anything else you?" [You either left out a word or you need three dots or a double dash after "you".]

I see where your father-in-law has been taken off life support. I hope your sister-in-law will have a change of heart and not make your father's wishes a mockery.

Blessings,

Jay

My father-in-law is still hanging on. Yes, I have added the word 'want' in that spot. Thank you for the kind review.

As always, your structural writing and editing are top notch. You do a great job keeping your characters consistent with story and who you've built them up to be. It shows you have a strong grasp of their design and keeping track throughout the novel.

Good work.

Nicely written. Good work
I've always had doctors listen to my breathing and heart through my shirt. the same for when I took my aged parents in for checkups.
Best wishes.

Wow! I didn't realize Alan had done that much damage. Cord seemed pretty much in control of things, including his temper. Ali's a lawyer. She should take Alan to court and help herself like she's been helping other women. Reading about these things happen where it's a distance to get to town, I'm glad we have an emergency hospital close to us. We also have convenient care, but it closes at 8 pm, I believe. Hope Ali's had her tetanus shot. If not, she'll need one. I'd never heard of wild lettuce tea before. It's certainly worth a try if you're in pain. Great Chapter. judi

You're welcome. It's an eye-opener to realize that even professional women can be victims of abuse, and out of shame they may not report it. judi

I think your story is great, but I sure, dislike the guy who hit Alexandra and really did a number on her. Glad it is a fictional story. So sorry about your father-in-law but evidently God was there to bring him out of a coma.

I knew Alan would get to Ali eventually, but this was unexpected, him coming there to take her back to N.Y. and then beating her up to boot. I can feel Cord's temper building. I think he has had enough of this jackhole, Alan! I loved it! Best, JohnC
