You are right that God sees the big picture, which may require several steps to complete the process. (I understand this because I have had my own episode more than once, and I'm just now recovering from the latest one.) Your account of this particular series of events shows that not every doctor knows what treatment is most effective (or works at all), but persistence can bring you to the right solution. You made us feel as though there, experiencing the pain and frustration as well as the ultimate improvement. I'm glad about the outcome. Superb.

You are most welcome, Wendy. Your episode was far more painful than mine, which was simultaneous Covid, pneumonia, and flu, all cured rather quickly. My problem was loss of a third of my body weight, which has taken two months to regain through a high-protein diet (in four meals per day since my return home). You suffered for much longer while God orchestrated the steps which had to occur in sequence. "The Big Picture" is an apt title.

You are not going to believe this; I ran over my foot with electric wheelchair and I am diabetic. The chair weighs 350 Kg. X-ray showed no fractures? My blood levels went through the roof because we couldn't import an injection once a week. A male DR gave me two different tablets that didn't work. God directed me to searching online. I am now stable - the foot? Only soft-tissue injuries and osteoporosis. I can't complain, it has done the work of two for 40 yrs a prosthesis only stabilizes the body.

A pity your wheelchair ran over your GOOD foot. That?s double trouble. I can imagine how painful that was! Not a light chair by any means! Diabetes too. My goodness. We?re almost twins.

Definitely know each other from another lifetime. Yes, I was black and blue. It's a new chair and I was pushing the laundry basket, it tipped backwards and I put my foot down; the chair was in drive! Luckily I was able to reach backwards to turn if off.

Yes, we are given chances for every advancement within our personal lives... whether the circumstance be that of good, or bad. One needs to hold faith, keep the senses and directive open at all times to reap the rewards of its wisdom.
I'm so glad you were guided to this end, as I wouldn't like to think of you in a worsened condition from misdiagnosis. Of course, any medication that is ongoing is never going to be the optimum, but the alternative is bleak.

Initially, I was to be completely blind by now. Instead I have a small amount remaining. I am thankful because I can write and read more easily. I've learned tje value of a day and the blessings of good health which are not always mine. My immune system is weak and my thyroid is giving me problems at present. This too is hereditary. I rejoice in the Lord as He has me in His hands no matter what. Thank you for sharing. My blessings to you all and for the contest,

Thank you so much Sally. You may have guessed that I am "Linda", but the contest required flash fiction, so I became the fictional Linda. Yes, I no longer take sight for granted. It is the most precious of my senses. So I am very glad you still have some sight left. You do an amazing job with your writing. Mine is an autoimmune disease too, and that weakness runs in the family, mostly though with thyroid problems. Thanks so much for your insightful review and for sharing.

Thanks Tom. Interesting reflections, and you are right! My sisters are all well. I had to make it fiction for the rules. I am Linda. It?s my own story. I am okay thank you, the disease is "managed" by lots of medications, but I still get extreme fatigue.
No pain as a warning, but monthly blood tests to check what?s going on inside with my arteries.
