When I first read this, I did a little head-scratching about how anyone could afford such lavish gifts.
But then, in the end, it was because he was a porch pirate.
This was a clever, creative, and well-versed poem.
I wish you well in the contest for this brilliant entry.
Best regards,
Mary

Oh, you devil. Lol. I was thinking you had won the lottery. Never suspected a thief. This was so warm and cozy in the first part. I could envision each gift. Then I could see someone hitting an unattended Fed ex truck. Great poem. Good luck in the contest. Gretchen

Lol. He wasn't actually hitting their trucks. He was taking the boxes off of the porches after they delivered it. That's what they call a porch pirate, someone who steals off of porches. Thank you so much for the giant sixer and good luck wishes, Gretchen. I'm glad you liked this silly piece.

What a wonderful poem dragonskulls!
I was skipping merrily along reading your peom, enjoying the rhyming and the meter structure, feeling the generosity and warmth of the season.
It was like sitting by a warm fire wearing warm jammies and fuzzy socks, and sipping a hot chocolate, when WHAM! Porch Pirate!
I had to laugh thinking of the innocent faces of the author's relatives as they marvel at his heartfelt largesse.
Well written! Thank you for sharing!

LOL, what evil lurks in the hearts of men...the Shadow knows. What a creative mind you have. This is a well-written poem. The ending is so twisted and yet so funny it earns a six. Good luck in the contest. Terry.

Thank you for the great review and the big sixer, Terry. Yeah, I love throwing twist endings in a lot of my stuff. Lol. I keep my fingers crossed for how many people actually find it humorous or not. Haha. I really appreciate the generous stars and good luck wishes, friend. I'm glad you liked this silly piece. Thank you again.

You filled the reader with wonder and awe as she read of all the marvelous gifts you generously bestowed upon your family, but then crushed my spirit with the Porch Poacher.... the season most definitely lost it's sparkle. You did a fantastic job of leading us to the pinnacle of the season, only to drop us off the cliff.
Well done... but I do pray that Porch Poachers get the punishment they deserve.
Smiles, Carol

Thank you for the great review, Carol. Yeah, I hope they get what they deserve too. It's sad people actually do this to other people.
You know me, I usually drop reader's off cliffs often on here. Lol. Thank you so much for the great review and gracious stars, Carol. I was just goofing around, as usual. Sorry for crushing your spirits. I hope you have yourself a wonderful Christmas and new year. Thank you again.

Well, If I had a chance, I would have plugged your subject's arse with double-odd shotgun pellets. Porch pirates are disreputable ogres of misery, stealing the joy intended to be given to a friend, a family member or lover. Still, the story until the end was mesmerizingly enjoyable and had me wondering where you got all that money?

Lol. Yes, that's about what they'd get at more doorstep as well. It's sad people stoop that low. I just had to poke fun at it though. Lol. Thank you for the great review and stars, Tom. I appreciate it, friend.

Excellent rhymes, great meter and a cute little story. Lucky that everything you stole found it's home with somebody in your family. You're more generous than I would be. I'd keep it all, especially the PlayStation 5.
Nice job, Mr. Skulls.
