This is a wonderful use of fifteen syllables for the contest. I love that the snowflakes twinkle, as well as the frosted freckles. Beautiful imagery! best wishes in the contest, and blessings for the new year. Carol

Beautifully written and presented, we rarely get snow here at Christmas (if ever) but I could imagine this is what I would be doing, an excellent read, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Thank you so much! I felt whimsical today and thought about snow. Here in Virginia they are predicting some snow, so perhaps I will reenact my verse. LOL. Thanks again!

This is magnificent! Oh, I need to learn how to do this type of form poetry. Beautifully penned and illustrated in fifteen syllables. If this doesn't win, I will eat my snow hat! Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the upcoming contest,

This fifteen-syllable poem, Water Sprinkles, has the proper formatting and brings us back to those days of joy and fascination of the frozen flakes dropping on a young face.

Melissa,
What a delightful moment you have penned for the child who is enjoying those frosted freckles of a new snowfall.
Your selected illustration and your snow-like stars make this post a super strong entry for this contest.
May the stars sprinkle other reviews too.
Mark
P.S. Best wishes for a happy, healthy New Year!

Hello there, Mark. Thank you so very much for your lovely words on this short one... 15 syllables is hard for me. I'm delighted you like it and also send you warm New Year wishes!

What a sweet image you have created with this little poem. The child in each of us can feel the cold and the joy of that moment. Well done. Happy New Year.
