Hi Melissa,
This short poem and artwork work together to show the grief of loss of a loved one. It shows the effect of the flag for the spouse of a soldier lost.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Congrats of placing second in the contest.

This one will undoubtedly do very well. It is moving, patriotic and says and implies so much in just six words. The choice of image is excellent. Best wishes for your entry in the contest.

I have never given six stars to a one line poem before, but this poem, along with the picture, speaks volumes. You should do very well in the contest.

This is sad to see and worst to feel, Melissa. The picture is... what can I say? I don't like to recall all those people I loved in a wooden box. The only thing to remember is a folded flag and this falling.

To lose a dear one so unexpectedly must be earth shatteringly bad Melissa, unfortunately I lost a close friend who suicided when I was only 18, and that wasn't good, it shattered my young world, beautifully written My friend, blessings Roy

So many flags have been delivered by servicepeople believing what was needed had to be done by someone, and yet other than a ten buck flag oft time our government abandons those left behind. That's sad.

Thank you, Tom... yes, it is sad, perhaps too sad for a contest. It resonated with me since hubby is retired military and son is active/reserves. :)
