A fine entry for the Rhyming Poem contest - compiled in loop fashion with abab rhyme scheme. An informative read with a historical backdrop of the gold rush days in Australia and the harsh and violent conditions of back then. A very good account of the gold rush days.

So interesting that Australia had a gold rush about the same time as the United States which was in 1849. It was such a wild and uncivilized time. You did a great job sharing that history in your looping rhymed poem. Hope this does well in the contest as it certainly is of a higher level of difficulty!

Hi Kace, back in those days...gold mining
was dangerous for everyone my sweet friend...
if you didn't file your calm...fast...you could
lose it...and in some cases...like in your story...
it didn't matter...people would attack and kill
each other for the gold...

this is a great story sweet girl...a great read...
