I enjoyed reading your story. Children are not nice to each other but on the other hand, they are resilient. You presented this very well. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Thank you, Elizabeth. Yes kids are nasty and resilient.
I appreciate your generous review.

Need a six for this. I can see this all unfolding as I read. No doubt our boyhood failures can be a lift toward the future. One never knows what Providence has waiting.

This is a good story about not letting the taunts of others ruin your life. Not everyone is talented or meant to be athelete. You have find you grove in life and go for it until you succeed. Well written story.

From where you began to where you ended sure took a Neil Armstrong step when jumping to the moon. The Presidency??? Was it Bobby Kennedy? I can imagine Bobby being him.

I like it a lot.
I was about to comment on the content (in violation of my own rant), but then I realized that because the writing was so good, I didn't even think about it, as engrossed in the story as I was. Good work.
Best wishes.

What a great ending! If you can't be a great baseball player, be the president! I wonder which president this could be as several did love baseball. Fun story!
Comment:
You have mixed verb tenses in this story. For the most part it is in the present tense but sometimes it goes to the past like:
He stood in the batters box, and faces the pitcher. (batter's box, and faced) Or change "stood" to "stands" ? Up to you. There are other places where the verb tense changes.
Nah, to much pressure. (too)

This is a fantastic story. Everyone eventually finds their niche. What a great message to promote.
"Lallygagging," I love this word. It must be something similar to "liming" in the Caribbean.
Great story. Thanks for sharing.

Liming. I?ll have to keep that one stashed away. Thank you, Jacqueline.

Yep. My hubby and I have adopted it into our own language after a visit to the Caribbean.

Good for Bobby - he showed them that a baseball game is not everything in life! Some of the expressions must be American, so I had a good guess at the meanings (eg "lallygagging" - what a great word!). Nicely written. Well done.
