Hi Jessica Wow food for thought and you cover many bases in this well written poem. Love come in many forms and I suppose it may matter as to what you really want in a relationship, Often love and lust are seen as one, however lust wains quickly, overtaken by love that is more enduring.
About to celebrate my 49th Wedding anniversary this month and i have much to love
Nice presentation Jessica
Cheers Chris

Comment from Gloria ....
There is a lot of wisdom in your poem here, Jessica. Very poetic and your project sounds like it will be most interesting with lots of material to explore.
Happy to be in the contest with you, and wishing you great luck. :))

Well written Rich in Theme design and Imagery.
It also, read well and flowed well with no Grammar Issues.
...
Note: This mimics my two past writings.
"No Fooling, April Fools Day"
While the others "Accidentally Yours?"
...
"Love that Lost?
Yes as if just a leaf of Lettuce Tossed?
Oh, no Loney Salad of Grief!
The dressings awaiting to Help Savor Relief!
...
Loss of Love as Painful as when above?
Now what to do with no Love left for you?
Pine and Wine?
...
Yes, that's okay but what about still living?
Living for Another Love Someday?
Thanks for sharing this and and have a Blessed Sabbath Sunday.

Comment from Dolly'sPoems
You start with a quote from Alfred Tennyson which is poignant as we all fall in love and at sometime or another lose someone we love dearly. Your poem is heartfelt and melancholy. Your well rhymed lines tell a personal story of love and loss and I can identify with your words Jessica, good luck with the challenge you have set yourself this month, love Dolly x

I enjoyed this poem and the heart-felt message it conveys. Well rhymed and metered but sometimes losing its rhythm as in the first stanza with 'is it not dependent on cost' which sounded a little awkward to me. And maybe the verse a little shorter for greater impact but otherwise excellent. Many thanks for sharing, Debbie

There are as many versions and definitions of love as there are lovers. You have certainly considered many of these! There is a wit in the use of words here which captures the elusive nature of the subject!
