That is a very dramatic chapter, and who knows what the results of the tornado might be? The stranger is still unidentified, and is an eerie presence in the background. And romance is developing. Well done, as always.

The dancing inside the bakery was fun reading. Tornado adds to the sense of adventure ...and concern .You have described it very well. And the mystery of the stalker is there

Fixed that area. Thank you for the kind review.

Barb, this chapter has a bit of everything... meeting with the pastors trying to identify this guy, dancing at the cafe, a tornado, Seth & Emma inching closer and closer.
I saw no areas needing help.
Good writing. John

barbara:
I could hear my father telling me I needed to go home with him in a situation like this. Good for Emma for standing her ground as an adult. I am enjoying your novel. jan

This is your best chapter so far, Barb. You still have the suspense of the strange man, and the tornado adds a great deal to the story. I'm sure that romance is in the future.

This is an excellent chapter, barbara. There was a lot of character interaction and dialog. you developed the situation very well. It was a nice scene with Miss Sadie and people dancing with her. There was some progress on the identity of the intruder, but they think the name is fake.
Good descriptive detail about getting ready for the storm. It is good no one is by themselves. Even the two dogs get settled in the bed. Eventually, Seth has to make some rounds, with Ace at his side. It seems Emma feels she will be okay, but I wouldn't want to be by myself. I do not like storms!
One small thing: Those of you, who walk the beat, check stores and residences. [In this sentence you don't need the commas because the clause is essential to the description of who is involved. If it isn't needed, then you use commas]

I had already removed one comma. I just went back and removed the other one. I hate storms myself. Thank you for the kind review.

A nicely written chapter. I guess it goes without saying, that if I was Seth, is a shelter with a pretty, young, and amazing woman I had feelings for, and who clearly had interest in me, at their incredibly young ages, that neither behave as, I would have made a move (you know).
Just kidding (but not really). It is a good chapter. Worthy of a six.
But... I do wonder when Christian religious part will come in.

The faith part is playing a part the entire time. In the next chapter Emma talks a little more about it. Thank you for the kind review. Come on - making a move during a tornado.

LOL. Well, I could have been their last day on Earth.

Tornadoes have been happening left and right in the states this spring. Is Emma going to be alright? Will her friend come home in time to rescue her from the tornado? Who is the fellow who they are trying to capture? Someone they know.

That was a suspenseful and at times gripping chapter, Barbara, with the tornado beating down on them. It's a natural element of suspense when there is the silence in the eye of the storm. You handled it well.
