Seems there are issues with the advanced editor... I can not get rid of the double spacing in my poem Taken...
Maybe go back to the other editor and use 22 to make your font larger... I am going to try that now...Oh yes, and maybe change your font to another style...

Anyway, I did love your poem... I have two poems I want to post ...one about Nymphs and one about Faeries...
For now as I am new to this site I have a few posted ... Check out my Portfolio...

Hello Mermaids. I haven't reviewed you before, bit I see that you are FanStory royalty! And you already discovered my famous Cat, so that makes us friends.
Rhymes on even lines but with a free rhythm to go with the free spirit of your soaring mermaid. Freedom seems to be the main idea in the poem - the ability to be what you want to be - she gets to choose which atavar she needs next, then brings the wisdom of her dove-life back into her sea world.
For me there is a background of Gaia in this poem - the wise goddess who protects our world - and the mermaid is one of her loyal ministers.
Thank you, mermaids for this beautiful poem.

This is very nice. It seems to speak of how much can be learned when viewing the world from a different perspective, and then sharing the knowledge with others. Sort of if Ariel became a dove.

You're brave to read your poem for open mike night. This poem is so creative with its soaring mermaid. It would be quite a different experience from being in the sea. It's neat that she takes note of what it's like so she can tell the other sea creatures what it's like. It's certainly been a different experience for her, and she has learned from her soaring flight. Interesting idea. Smoothly rhymed. "Magic transforms her becoming a white dove." One possiblity would be "She becomes a white dove." judi

You're welcome. I used to read poems at our poetry readings, but that ended with COVID. That's neat you have community television. judi
