This was a bit more of a tense chapter than some of the others, as Emma goes through this accident and has a close call. She still seems to want to keep the chief at arms' length and wants to avoid any suspicion of their dating, but then she gives him that hug and jeapordizes the investigation, because the defense can claim the chief is romantically involved with the victim. Complications. But we inject the drunk driver into the mix here, and the romance dance continues to thread the needle. Nice perky dialogue, bits of humor thrown in, plenty of well defined personality in the characters make this come alive. estory

I don't see anything wrong. I love your chapter. I think I know who ran into Emma.
I'm glad Seth is going to stay with Emma.
Well done. You are a very talented author.

Barbara, This is a six star chapter, but I would have liked it more if Emma liked Seth more. You used great descriptive words and dialogue. I enjoyed reading it very much! I did not see any errors. love and blessings, Teri

Poor Emma, it just goes on getting worse and worse for her! But she still seems pretty resilient while Seth is greatly concerned. Your dialogue, as ever, makes this so credible - small touches like Emma's modesty but also her growing confidence in what she wants and expects. It's a story that has a momentum of its own. Well done, Barbara! Debbie

Emma is lucky to have escaped with minimal trouble. Emma has to stay with Seth now at least for two days .
I still worry about the car that track Emma's movement... Waiting

This is continuing to be a great read. Very realistic and I am sure a situation similar in many areas. Suggested changes in Title. In Title...Emma['] is (in)a car accident.
OR Emma'[ i]s (in)a car accident.

I'm still wondering about that car that shows up every now and then. Someone is definitely stalking Emma, but why? She needs a guard dog of her own. If it were me, I'd want a dozen guard dogs. hahahaha

Poor Emma, hit by a car, but I think there is more to this story and her accident cannot be random. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the next chapter.
