This sound better than sleeping under the stairs. I could like you're able to sleep most anywhere. Does this place come with meals if you get to stay? It sound like the man isn't so happy about it. The women seem kind.
I'm wondering who have you all these boxes about your life and why?

At this point I hadn't worked out the details with the lady yet she had fed me and allowed me to rest. It's time for the next step. Thank you again always happy to see you. You know, really have some interesting questions. Answer cool things to say I appreciate that about you! Thank you again!

There is no way I would fault you on the storyline as this is YOUR story. I hate to mention this, but there were a few areas where grammar needed a small bit of straightening. These may appear to be very minor, but are indicative of my own works which others have reviewed and given me hints for improvement. He looked at me with a slightly startled expression on his face then quickly replaced it with the narrowing of his black eyes. (comma after face), Her husband flapping his hands in the air (husband was flapping?)
I stood up with them Mrs. D who waived me back to my seat. (Needs comma after Mrs. D) Also, the title "African Queen" should be in italics.

Oh dear, just when you think you might have found some stability, it feels like it might just as quickly dissipate again. You're exhausted but always vigilant, expecting the worst. You take the reader into that warm, inviting setting and for a moment we find some relief too, however temporary. Thanks for sharing, Lea. Stay strong. Debbie x
