Poppies in the field don't wish to be roses. Nor do Dobermans wish to be poodles. It is a great lesson in life to be content with oneself.
Bruce Lee once said, " Always talk good about yourself. Even if you're joking around, because your mind doesn't know the difference." Made sense to me.
Great piece. You are a survivor my friend. And for that, you will always be top notch to me.

I get reminders of what He sees when I read the Bible, especially the New Testament. For example, 1 John 3:1
"See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; "

John the apostal gospel is my favorite.
Thank you very much, big sister. I'm praying to God and telling myself kind things when I look in the mirror. I'm also catching myself when I tell myself something unkind.

Great! John's a poetic writer! No wonder you like him! I'm listening to the Old Testament but reading just one verse of John a night in different languages. It's fun. I'm sure you'd see the difference in Spanish. I love how in Spanish Jesus calls and doesn't 'knock at the door' In Revelation.
