That was really well thought out, Debi, and I believe it would be a dark cold world if Jesus wasn't a part of it. I'm afraid schools these days don't teach about Christianity because the think it would upset the other faiths that have come into our countries. I find that so hard to swallow. That is why there is so much evil in the world today. Well done, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

I recently read this from someone who served in Vietnam: Everyone on the battlefield believes in God. When faced with death, we all believe, including many of those cynics.

Somewhere between the Big Bang Theory and Genesis there is the truth; as you allude to, the BBT supports the words of Genesis.

I would say to the cynics, for those of us who have felt HIs presence and been the benefactor of a miracles, it's impossible to doubt the existence of a higher power who does listen to prayer. Try it before you doubt it.

You're right, Debi, this is positive; thanks for sharing a little positivity:-)

Oh Pam, you are so wonderful. Thank you so much the lovely words, reading and reviewing and for your gracious six stars. I did something a little stupid and waited towards the end of the month again to post this. I should have done it earlier. But I appreciate you so much. Thank you with all my heart, my lovely friend. Love, Debi

This is fabulous. I like the beginning of the beginning. Think his powerful God is to speak and have these elements obey you calling forth life! Boggles the brain! I love your personal eyewitness account of God's greatness and work in your life! Other have seen it too and are open to believing. It takes no effort to not believe but it does take a mustard seed of faith to believe in God. I've led three atheists to Christ, all family members. My brother Mike believing the day he passed away. Whew! It was a close one; I still cry thinking about it. He told his son, "Please call Sal and tell her I believe. She'll want to know."

Marvelous offering, my precious friend.
Sending you my best today as always,
Love,
Sal XOs!

Dearest Sally, thanks so very much for this lovely review and comments. I have been so interested as they have been talking about it more in Church. The other research I did on my own. So I appreciated all of your kind words, and your gracious six stars, my very dear friend. Love, Debi

Thank you for this post. And for the Author's Notes book reference.
One thing I say to critics is that the Bible is neither a science book, nor a history book, but a collection of 66 books by about 35 authors over 1500 years, all singularly pointing people to a loving God.
Best wishes.

How about, Frankenstein? LoL just kidding.

You make a good argument about God and science. I belive in God and science. I don't think it has to be one or the other. You did a great job gathering information, as you always do.

I'm happy God kept you alive. You are a wonderful and kind lady.

Love you,

Marival

I was conceived as a result of constant and fervent Biblical prayer. I posted the story leading up to my birth. My mother was 35 years old, unable to have children, and prayed the prayer of Hannah, promising to dedicate her child to God. I was born. From my first day on earth, I have believed in the power and miracles of God.

Beginning with the Big Bang Theory, you have written convincing commentary on the existence of God. I've read many books on contrary beliefs, but have seen miracles like the one you experienced. My husband experienced a cancer miracle AND heart miracle. Yes, Debi. There IS a God.

I believed you were conceived in prayer and raised that way too, as you always seem to have that angel like quality about you that just gives me such a calm and a good feeling when I am in your presence. Of course, since you are my earth angel I should not be surprised.

I thank you with all my heart for the sweet words that come with this awesome review and the gracious stars.

I love that you have experienced the miracles too and have seen first hand what they can do for our lives and give us the extra life it did with your husband and myself. I love your last line, as I am sure you meant it to sound like that old saying, the one that says, yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. But I liked yours much better.

Thanks again. Love you lots. Debi. Hugs!!

This one deserves a six, Debi. Your exuberance and sincerity thread through every line ~ whether recounting your own experiences, or different aspects of how "Big Bang" need not exclude God (as many scientists once thought) --or simply sharing the joy of your faith!

I was thinking, as I read through this several times, of the many patients over the years I attended in their final hours. As an RN I'd seen all variations of staunch atheists, agnostics, as well as devout believers in a "Higher Power" some were reluctant to name.

The MIRACLE came, for me, when absolute skeptics--hardened to absolute cynics -- refused any offers of spiritual support (they weren't buying it and never had) --and just before their final breath, they
opened their eyes and spoke about the angels in the room beckoning them, a brilliant white light they were drawn to, or seeing their loved ones (long ago passed) standing beside them as if to welcome them home.

Did this happen every time? No, of course not. But it happened enough that doctors in attendance were deeply moved, and my faith in that which cannot be proven by earthly means was compounded by such an incredible transformation!

Thanks for such a spiritually uplifting essay! My favorite surgeons have always been those who stop at the chapel to pray before and after surgery.

Science and God can and do coexist. Science is a discipline demanding proof. God requires faith, where no proof exists.

John 20:29
"Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."

Wow, K, wowowowow! I loved your account of it all. And isn't it too bad when it takes death's door and Angels, loved one to have him repent?

Did I ever tell you that when my little brother, Denny smashed into the toe Truck int the blizzard, it broke his neck. When the highway patrol got there he called for an ambulance and Denny said, no I am going to die. My mom is calling me home right now. And then he died. So I always figured he had really heard mom's voice.

And remind me to tell you about the doctor who delivered me. Amazing story.

But in 2014 with me, I was shocked with my doctor but I had told him all along that every one of my friends and family's congregations were praying for me, but it took this to see it. I mean he even had us sit down before we talked and I remember Glen grabbed me right away to make sure I didn't pass out. But that whole month of May, they increased the treatment because my mass was growing so fast, while I knew that something had to change or I would die. They said if it didn't start to shrink by the end of the month then they would go in, cut me open, cut open the lung and try to remove the mass even tho it was so big.

That whole month I played with the grandkids more and was so peaceful.
I wasn't worried at all that month. I am not like that at all, but God can make me peaceful and he did.

That year I had seven prayer quilts made for me where they prayed for me while sewing them. Isn't that amazing? All different congregations. That was 2014. Right before my legs and back put me in the wheel chair, I wasn't able to follow thru for our 40th anniversary plan to remarry in the church. I was too sick, so after the mass disappeared he took me on a six week vacation and first stop was Niagra Falls and he proposed to me on the dance floor. I think it was called Last time we danced. You maybe remember that piece.

Anyway, I thank you with all my heart for such a lovely review and thoughtful words for this. And could you do me a favor? I got a review from WiSt and he was not nice. If you have a chance I could use advice on how to reply to him. Everyone else has been great. Thanks again Sweetie!
Loves ya lots, Debi & thanks for the lovely six stars too.

This was very well written and a wonderful witness of God's healing miraculous power. I'm glad the oncologist recognized the healing for what it was. God has used you in a very special way. Hugs, Verna

"Something positive to think about
Big Bang Theory" Many of my evangelical friends might not agree.
"universe was created from a ball of energy and light " Uh, I don't quite think Genesis put it that way. No mention of any 'ball of energy'.
"You cannot recreate creation." Interesting paradoxical statement.
"The wise decision is to wager that God exists" But wouldn't God, who sees deep into man's heart, know that this is fake belief and not a true commitment?
"a recipient of miracles, " What kind? Do elaborate.
"I hear God speak to me daily." Literally or figuratively?
Interesting tale of testimony to the work--and existence--of God.
