A well composed haiku. This haiku does what all good poetry should do and that is engage the readers imagination. The bowl of "Fruit?" Looks poisonous, a macabre poem for this Halloween season.

I love Halloween poems and stories. This hinted at the darkside of the beloved holiday but stayed out of the fire. It was a spooky look at Halloween and the children of the night. Gretchen

Not being experienced with the haiku genre I sorta get what is written here though keeping with the 5-7-5 requirement I would have written it different from... 'with bats and owl ensemble-
mysterious song" to 'with bat and owl assembled mysteriously

I love how you've captured such a haunting atmosphere in just a few lines! The line "dark night sings of death" really pulls me in with its intensity. It sets the perfect tone. It's such a powerful poem - amazing work!

Oh a bat and owl song sounds extremely creepy and perfect for Halloween. Nicely written dark Haiku. I love the graphics presentation on the purple background as well. Good job.
