$250.000, Oh, what I could do with that!! Her mother is right, Miranda doesn't want to start telling everyone. But will she be reading it in the paper tomorrow?? Why is it that the bank manager is always willing to help you help him!! LOL This was a lovely chapter, Gretchen, and the part with the children's father, LOL, as Miranda said, he'll not be asking her for child care help anymore! Love it! Well written and a very good read. Warmest hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

I found myself dreaming about what I would do with that kind of money. Lol. I think I've already blown through my imaginary windfall. Thank you for this wonderful review and the nice shiny star. Gretchen

This is great news for Miranda and I can sense her excitement throughout. And she's such a generous soul, offering to pay for her mother's roof before the money has barely reached her bank account. But why do I think, from that reference to her being ill equipped to deal with good fortune, that something is shortly to reverse this spell of luck? Faultless narrative and dialogue in this engaging read. Thank you, Gretchen. Debbie

That is a nice little nest egg but Miranda is a very caring and generous person. She has already given Mama a new roof and am sure Walon's education will be taken care of. I hope Dougie don't find out. I wonder how she will go about using the money..

I'm sure the whole town will find out. Once again, Miranda will be in the spotlight. She hates that. Gretchen

This is a great addition to your book. The chapter is well written and flows quite nicely for the beginning till the end. Miranda has her hands full now with all that money. I'm thinking she should have listened to her mothers warning.
Well done

What a wonderful thing to happen, a windfall for Miranda, and almost a miracle, or pretty close to one. And now a friendly bank manager, funny about thst, and she's grateful for a teenage boy to care, and Mitch. Yes, things are looking, up, beautifully written Gretchen, blessings Roy

Yes, things are looking up, but Dougie is back in town so things could go south really fast. I really like this story, and you did a great job writing this.
