I can't either. I don't honestly know how Jesus did that for me ... for us. That's more love than heaven and earth can contain. No wonder a response is required. What a sacrificial gift!! Our salvation! Our atonement!! Our Jesus!! Beautifully written and illustrated poem of this phenomenon.
Sending you my best today as always, and blessings in the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is a fitting time, in the US, to reflect on the the sacrifice of Jesus and what it means to you as an individual, and to us as a nation. I know you are in Australia, but it is equally important make this introspección whenever in the world we may live.

It is difficult to think anyone would done that which Christ did, but it is a historical fact, plus a fact that personally involves me. I know Christ is real and, fortunately, so do many on FanStory.

This is powerful, Roy. I'll give it a virtual six as, regretfully, I have none left. Line 16 might need a question mark, and the final line needs a period. You asked great questions. I love the exchange of garments. What amazing love God has shown us! Well done! Blessings. Carol

Roy,
All of your poems are always spot on. God sacrificed his son for our sins. That truly is love. My favorite bible verse is John 3:16. Its message is very powerful.

There's definitely no way I could do that, especially for the way people are today. I'm thankful that Christ did what he did for us so that we could be with him in eternity. Nice poetry! It still rings true today.
I don't know if you meant to have the word "in" two times in a row on this sentence
...and clothe me in (in ) your royal robes?

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life" That says it all, Roy. No other would do the same to save mankind. I've been blessed so many times.

Hey Roy, I absolutely love, and agree with, your admiration and, I think, overwhelmed feeling that we get as we ponder the Savior's sacrifice for US!
You have some typos:
Could uo leave the halls of Heaven,
(you)
In your lackyour love forbearing,
(Needs a space)
though Lord ot all my stench you berar?
(to....bear)
flesh from boneyour torn and beeding?
(Needs space)
Can youlove me, nevewr gaining,
(Needs space, never)
Could you always off favour,
(offer?)
while your rejected onc again?
(you're, once)
I'd be happy to bump the rating up on this. It's a powerful poem worth the polish!

I think the computer messed up your text on here. There were words that were merged and a few words missing consonants and vowels. But aside from that, the whole thing made think. Would I have done what Jesus did? would I have said forget it? He took on the world and got no thank yous. He did what he was born to do. Die for our sins and our eternal life. Beautifully written.
