No Fooling for Nomi's Birthday

I consider you to be both my family and my friend. Ours is a friendship that not even death can end. If you should before I do, I would still think of and remember when first we met. I will never forget you Debi Pick Marquette. I met Brenda Lee Yeager years ago after her professional career had ended. I told her that her duet with Mr. Butler was one of my wife's and I favorite song and she responded with a line from the song, she actually said, "Than God for you honey." I was beside myself. As for Al Green, I met him many years ago before he became famous. He was dating the adopted daughter of the pastor of our church, Laura Lee. She introduced us , telling him that I was a song writer and suggesting that maybe we could collaborate on something. Sadly we never stayed in touch and from out of nowhere he blew up and all was lost as far as I was concerned. My life is littered with failed opportunities like this, but I will soldier on, hoping that one day success might come my way.

I love your story, but it was what I didn't hear that saddens me. When I didn't hear from you earlier, I suspected it. I hope you had a happy birthday even if you were disappointed in the poem. This is one time I think I tried too hard. I am very thankful that you still consider me a friend and family member. I feel the same way. God bless, my BBBB.

Oh I am so sorry you thought I didn't like the poem. I loved it. So much so, it never dawned on me to comment more than I did. Please know in the deepest part of your heart that I love everything that you write. I have never had an issue with you for anything that you have written. I am so sorry if you did not understand that.

I am sorry if I misunderstood. When you didn't mention it at all, I assumed. And yes I know what assume means. LOL. I don't mind if you didn't like it tho. I think the harder I tried this time, the sillier it got. it just wasn't natural. And yet I maybe worked harder on this one than most. Nothing will ever change how I feel about you, as you will always be my BBBB. Happy birthday again!

Nomi is a great writer and a very thoughtful person. I think Mr. Cool is a good way to describe him. I am sad for him as he lost a wife he truly loved after a long marriage.
