Guess, one does reminisce about what could have been in relation to a lost romance. It is hard to forget. Good descriptive language, choice of words and feelings of love. I thought the beach scene looked familiar. Enjoyable read, Faye

Like ripples betraying still waters, will you stay with me?
Or run for the shelter of the near shores,
That voice always calling your name.
If I dare show you my heart, will you cherish the passion it would bring?
Or slowly destroy the life within with promises that will never be,
These lines are definitely my favorite lines in the entire phone the other uses great imagery along with a letter word choice so that side was very smoothly excellent job well done

This is such a passionate poem about inner questions hurled towards a beloved. The words carry powerful and passionate emotions of a lover to dear one. I enjoyed reading your poem. God bless.

Your poem is filled with so many things that make you stop and think about it for a while. Your style is flowing and easily read. You have a very personal style of your own that is really an asset to your writing style

Melancholy, somewhat sad but I saw a glimmer of hope in your words. Beautiful photo for your poem and seems to reflect the gray area of wanting love and companionship and afraid to seek it.
I enjoyed this very much. AT=/

Gary, When love falls it's very hard to pick itself up again. I know from experience. Your poem is most deserving. Your poetic words tells of a sad story. Carole

So romantic, but so sad. True love will never
leave, it will stay and cherish the passion
it will not destroy life.
Beautifully written poem about a lost love.
Have3 a nice Sunday my friend.

What a nice relationship ! I loved the way you talked to her..Very smooth and gentle.
Love the "this or that". Makes it more wantable. She will be yours ! Don't doubt !

Very nicely written. yes, we open and souls to another, our fears jump to the fore and the questions become never ending and usually unanswerable. It is only the fear of pain and loss. Well done.

I wonder if that was your inspiration for the title? This piece was solid, made good use of an early assonance and some subtle alliterations. It had a questioning tone that didn't come off as whiny so great work and thanks for sharing.
