I REALLY liked this. Perhaps it is because there was a Swedish royal wedding today and I was in the mood but...
I really did!
It's hard to pick a fave line but this would be right up there: The mind, wins with strength of truth, or loses with judgments and lies.

I've been away from FS for awhile. Finally got my WIP to a writing coach to hopefully take me to a publishable level. Just posted today about one of the characters in my middle grade adventure.
Stop by if you have time and inclination! Love to have your commentary. I so admire poets. You say so much with so few words. I need to learn this!

In marriage we do give all of ourselves to our partner. True that with some, there is discontent in heart and soul.
When God is present in the home, peace and contentment is the rule. Great poem! V.A.

Now-I'm looking at your picture DEEPWATER riding high and asking myself how you have time to write such beautiful poetry while doing all of your farm work(LOL)-this was just beautiful and so heartfelt-you have many great lines and my favorites are these:
The mind, wins with strength of truth, or loses with judgments and lies.
The soul, the ellusive butterfly so frail without the heart and mind,
The temple, your body is given freely in love, or taken in whim or revenge.
The eyes, the inner window giving lightness to the spirit
The hands, earthly importance helps to carry your compassion in life
I like this alot and have to get over here more often to see what that Deepwater is up too...Free

This is a very inspirational piece. I'm glad it was one of the first things I've read today.
This line confused me, even after reading through the first time: 'The heart, can be given, a new eclipse in life, but is lost with discontent.' Seemed to me this doesn't fit the rest of this beautiful piece.

There are a lot of spiritual truths in this poem; spiritual statements of faith never turn to cliches. I felt like opening a Chinese cookie with a wisdom within (smile) when reading this. I will bookmark this after I finish; and refer to it at different stages of my life when I need wisdom and prayer.

Not bad. I think the metaphor of the body and how we use it is pretty well worn as subject matter so it is really important to have some different descriptions or it because like so many others. Nevertheless, I like this.
