Sweet little story that brought a smile to my face, Debbie - and a different style for you, too, I see! Delightful re-counting (though as a poem it would be more difficult I think!) I like the leaving the impression on the wall - that was a delightful touch.

It's good to see a story of a bench warmer finally getting to play That wasn't my case in those days. Once a bench warmer, always a bench warmer for me. This was a nice, touching short story. I'm looking forward to the poem that comes out of it. Happy Writing. Blessed Be.
