I liked it. It felt like a nice little song, with all the repetitions. It didn't say anything earth-shattering, but then, that's not the purpose of songs. I loved the presentation with your wacky yellow duck on the yellow background. A fun read. Well done!

Yes! A very catchy verse that carries a peppy 5 syllable count and smooth abcb rhyme scheme. Upbeat and sunny. The weather seems to be just ducky. Had a smile!

Carolyn - This is a great little poem. I liked it a lot. I figured it could be sung. I always write first then find a picture to go with it. I doubt if I could do it the opposite way. Kat

I did that too, write it I mean. Then when I found the picture I added a little. So glad you enjoyed it. Carolyn

The sight of ducks swimming and playing in the rain, such a nice picture and a sweet thought for the day, love ducks in a pond but not on the menu!

This is a delightful image choice and I love the happy bright colour. A fun, little poem to read. By the time I got to the last line, I had inkling that the rainwashed day might change to a brainwashed day, but it didn't. Was I disappointed? No, only surprised! LOL!

I read that this was in the category of song lyrics...so, I just began singing the words. It works beautifully.

I can imagine sitting on the floor with a half circle of children in front of me, reading from this book and we're singing your song!!!

Delightful!!!

A soft and silky but simple and symphonic stand of song refers to, the intro and mid and the end of the song has a symmetry and alliteration, it has an appeal and freshness, I liked the order of presentation. 5/084
