Wow! This is by far the spookiest of any of your chapters, Bev. What a wonderful job you've done in creating a scene that could easily draw goose bumps from your readers. Your use of description as Bryan investigates the rooms and then his encounter is outstanding. Being a dog lover, I love that Alyx saved Brian from the spinning statue. Good for the dog!! As always, another hard-to-put-down chapter. I wanted to keep reading. By the way, congrats on being nominated for novel of the month. You'll get my vote.
Hugs,
Connie

Connie, thank you so very much! You always know just what to say to lift my spirits and give me confidence to continue. I cannot possibly express how much that means. Your generosity in the six-star rating and your words are precious to me. Love, Bev
P.S. I'm really excited to be included in such an outstanding group of writers this month. I appreciate your 'vote' of confidence, my friend.

What a good chapter with chilling features. I almost stopped reading to creep under my desk. So the devil is at his best trying every trick to lure Brian into hell. I loved the way Alyx stuck by his master and even saved him. Brian showed great courage in going into that satanistic room.
As usual a terrific write from you pen, Bev. I loved it. luv jada

This is a brilliant story. Thanks so much for the author's notes. Like you, I am wary of speaking certain passages that may bring about severe consequences. I wonder if the young Father Brian will be able to drive out all the entities there. We'll see. Thanks so much for sharing.

Great story telling and you seem to be able to describe things as
though a person is right there. I have to learn how to do that, and
always look forward to another chapter. Your vocabulary about
emotions and descriptions of places and people are a great education
for me. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, this is a very powerfully written chapter...found myself holding my breath as I read the last word, intense and captivating would be the best way to describe it!
Extremely well done creatively and technically, and the artwork is stunning...looking incredibly real and ominous to say the least!
Thanks for sharing this, can't wait to read more and all the best to you going forward with it!
With warm regards...

This is very well written, Writing Fundimension, you did an excellent job writing this chapter where Father Brian is doing spiritual battle with the demons that are trying to get to him through his mother's voice. I enjoyed reading this one....

Hi I found this a very powerfully expressed piece. It rings with similarities of 'The Exorcist' You seem to know your subject well, and use the right dialogue familiar to this type of genre. It's tight and has a well defined and organised plot. Characters are well rounded and you give them life and personalities. Speech is powerful and dynamic, full of passion and emotion. Well done. Hi Writingfundimension,
Ah, now if you have a Sheltie as a companion, then you know what unreserved, unqualified and complete love is. Mine never leaves my side.
Good chapter, Fr Brian certainly has his hands full in that Rectory., Methinks bell, Book and candle are needed next, plus a couple of gallons of Holy Water, loads of incense and a full asperging!
