I absoluetly love the idea of this poem, too many people waste away their lives waiting on something. And as you so eloquently put it there are "no second chances"

dejohnsrld (Debbie) We sometimes do have a tendency to wait done't we. You have sent a lovely message and a great reminder. Life is short and unpredictable. The best thing that we can do is to enjoy all that we can. Well written and composed. A pleasure to read. KG Writes

Waiting for good luck
Perhaps win the lottery
No luck
I know somebody who lives on a fixed income and spend most of her money on the lottery and complains she can't afford groceries or medicine. I worry about this person. We must live each day to the fullest. Nobody else can make us happy. We must find happiness within ourselves.

I enjoyed your philosophical free verse on how people wait for things to come along to make their lives meaningful when they should be living each moment to the fullest.

Wow....I can identify with this...so many of us wait for "the right" time, opportunity, person etc but get lost in the waiting. We need to realize that everyday is a "present" that we need to unwrap. Lovely piece...although I am more into rhyming, I could definetly make a connection with the piece.

I so agree with you, and loved the message in your words. Live each day, as it is your last, remembering it is all the time we are allotted, once gone...gone. I enjoyed your words and message. Blessings
