Angel Face, Your heartfelt song is riddled with pain. And even after twenty two years you still feel the sorrow. I know exactly how you feel with a true similar story. Great piece of work. Carole

Such a sweet and loving memory and tribute to your husband. I think your memory of him and the pain of missing him have served you well in composing this lovely work. Don

What a sad story, angelface2. These lyrics were really full of emotion and I think you did a great job capturing your relationship. Nice writing.

Hi, Miss Sally,
A wonderful song, my friend, with words I can identify with....when the flowers are put away, and all the friends leave, people go on with their lives...that's when I felt so alone...But it helps to know that he's not in pain anymore, and is at peace...This was well written, with well chosen words to get your message across....I think of my husband often awake, and in my dreams...I understand this poem!
Love and Hugs,
Victoria

Thanks Victoria. I think of him often. I don't dream as much as I used to about him, but sometimes he is there. Thanks for the lovely thoughts. Miss Sally

I like this poem very eloquent and touching. It reminisces a a lost loved one. It is direct, simple and expresses in full
about the love she had for someone. Very well written and I have no comment, except a little doubt on the second line of the first stanza that said: "That I heard you smile and say...your love for me will last for all years....Even in a figure of speech can we say, "I heard you smile..." Otherwise, I could have rated this a solid 6. (I think "saw" for "heard," is the right word.) The flow is excellent!

Hi there, thank you for the good read. Keep up the good work. All looks good. All grammar is well done. I liked this part the most.
Seems like only yesterday
That I heard you smile and say
That your love for me would last for all my years.
