Well done, Dean. Your mastery of dark humor is astounding. The picture enhances the theme. The title is an excellent play on words and draws the reader's attention which allows you to build on it. I like the double meaning in the last line.

Hey, Dawn I'm glad you found it funny. Some have been a bit ... offended by it, for some reason. Nothing too bloody, right? Just a little play on words, is all. And Edgar Rice Burroughs stories were full of cannibals in the jungles. Ah well, I'm happy to you that you get the fun-natured humor behind it.

You know what, author? THAT is the biggest negative of this site (and I do my utmost to completely ignore it) - BOOKBURNERS in my opinion. (LOL.) ANYONE who tries to limit ANY free expression...

It's a very sore spot with me - a HUGE irritant on a site that is supposed to be for writers. (but extremely vexing anywhere) It is OPPRESSION, and if there is ANYTHING that brings out my 'Irish', that is it.

(Ignore ignorance. There's a skip button - your title tells enough that those who read it and then are 'offended' are just looking to rankle the author. Probably jealous. Give them a metaphorical 2x4 upside the head. LOL.) Good luck.

Ha ha! That was awesome! I loved the picture that went with it, as well. I don't know much about haiku, but it looks like you nailed it and with such flair. Hah, well, I wish more felt the way you did about it my friend, LOL. I think I inadvertently offended a reader from Africa, who reluctantly gave me a four, then said it was rather vulgar and could be construed as bad taste. "Bad Taste" ... get it? I stated laughing my arse off, I couldn't help it. And they didn't even do it intentionally, which was even funnier! That's when I added the authors notes about not offending anyone of race, color or creed. If they knew me, they would have known better than that. It's all in good fun, right?

Ha ha, great comments, kiwijenny! Maori, huh? very interesting. In New Zealand? I worked for several years with a man from there. He hated the US. However, he came here because that's where his skill set was. We worked on US Naval vessels together.
